This is easier than you think.

Be sure to install davfs:
sudo apt-get install davfs2

The Configuration File

Edit /etc/fstab like so.:

proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/md/0 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/md/1 /boot ext3 defaults 0 0
/dev/md/2 / ext4 defaults 0 
https://<yourusername> /mnt/backup-server
davfs rw,uid=33,gid=33,file_mode=0660,dir_mode=0770 0       0

Now you’ll need to edit your /etc/davfs/secrets file and add a line in the section marked # Credential Line like so:

/mnt/backup-server  <yourusername> <yourpassword>

Et, voila.
